Warm-Up Discussion Prompt

Strong parent/teacher communication is crucial to best teaching practices. Off the top of your head, what are some of the obstacles you have encountered?

Class Discussion

👨🏼‍💼 My biggest obstacle is that parents do not read my emails. I send them out and never hear back.

👩🏽‍🏫 Parents never want to hear from me. They know it is bad news when the teacher calls.

👩🏾‍💼 For me, it's the language barrier. We have a number of parents who do not speak English and I do not speak their languages.
