You've had a nice beginning Kesey.

To help you better understand WISE, I'm attaching here two articles written by the WISE team.

Re. objectives, you said:

   * By visiting the WIKI site and reading other information, learners will be able to identify what WISE stands for and list reasons why it is an effective learning environment.
   * Learners will be able to discriminate between using WISE to teach a certain science topic and not using wise to use WISE to teach the same topic.
   * Learners will be able to identify at least 3 ways that WISE will increase their students science abilities on the web.
   * Learners will be able to choose to use WISE within their classroom.
   * Learners will be able to generate in writing an outline of two ways they will incorporate WISE within their classroom. 

I think it will help for you to think about where WISE fits in for the participants, that is, how WISE connects to the more general interest of teachers. WISE is specific method/tool for science inquiry. So inquiry in science is pedagogical framing you may adopt for your mini-course. This means that the first objective will be to understand the why of inquiry learning. Then you will introduce WISE as a specific method/tool.

Focusing on WISE itself, you may read the above two articles and think about what are the important issues teachers need to know/adopt. I guess they need to understand the design principles of WISE inquiry (learning with others, making thinking visible..., seeFile:WiseDesignforKnowledgeIntegration.pdf), and how a teacher can incorporate and implement a WISE project in her/his classroom. Since there is already a tutorial about the environment at the WISE website, you can include a link to that tutorial in your mini-course without needing to start from scratch.
