Unit 3: Co-Teaching Strategies for Positive Relationships

Now that you have established the roles and responsibilities of an ICT classroom, this unit will provide you with resources and information to create a positive co-teaching relationship.

Activity 1

This is a unit overview. Please read this overview by July 24th, 2019. In order to create a positive ICT classroom environment, it is clear that the two co-teachers need to respect one another and blend their teaching styles. Students, especially those with disabilities, respond best to a structured and consistent classroom environment. Therefore, the beginning of the year and orientation period should be used to establish the authority of both teachers and establish classroom procedures and routines.
