James Ranni

James Ranni is the guidance counselor and teaches AP psychology and Law at Marist Brothers International School, in Kobe, Japan. He has been teaching in various capacities for 15 years. In 1991, he graduated SUNY Albany with a bachelors in Asian Studies and History, and completed a tercher certification course from SUNY New Paltz in 1994. In 1999 he returned to SUNY New Paltz and completed the coursework (thesis unfinished) for a Masters degree in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling. His permanent home is in Monroe, NY and he loves going kayaking, hiking, and traveling with his wife and 2 children.

In the future, he hopes to open on online accredited school aimed at students in the developing world in order to grant them better access to the US university system.
