1. Instructional Problem: In a foreign language classroom storytelling has been the up and coming way to teach and have students understand the context of language while learning how to write and speak in the target language.
2. What is to be learned: How to effectively teach while using storytelling as a tool.
3. Learners: High school students that are studying a foreign language.

At the completion of this course learners will be able to:
- Understand what storytelling is.
- Use storytelling in the foreign language classroom.
- Create different types of stories using different online tools and programs.

- Students need to have a general knowledge of the target language.

- Students need to have a basic level of understanding the internet.

Unit Plan One: Storytelling in the foreign Language Classroom
Objective:
- Students will be able to understand why storytelling is so important.
- Students will learn what a digital story is.
- Students will understand what things go into creating a digitaal story.
- Students will learn where digital story started.
- Students will learn about the many programs and Web 2.0 websites that are available to create a digital story.
Unit Plan Two: Creating Digital Stories
Objective:
- Students will be able to create a story in the target language using online tools.
- Students will create different stories in the target language using CALL and Web 2.0.
- Students will gain an understanding on why storytelling in the classroom is beneficial to student understanding.
