Hi everyone, my name is Mike Fortune. I am in my eighth year of teaching as a band and general music teacher. My wife and I recently relocated back here in June 2007 from New York City, were I met her and lived for seven years. There, I taught for a private company that provides Catholic Schools with quality band programs. There I also enjoyed a successful dual career as a jazz musician playing with many of the greats. Now, my wife and I live in Saratoga Springs (I am from Ballston Lake) and I teach fifth grade beginner band at Schalmont CSD. I'm so excited to be finishing my masters degree in C.D. and I.T! I look forward to many exciting discussions and learning a lot from them! I am interested in this program because I look to broaden my horizons professionally and want to implement what I learn here in my own career.
