Using the NGSS to guide curriculum
Over the last four units you have explored the philosophies behind the Next Generation Science Standards and analyzed and discussed their three dimensions: Disciplinary Core Ideas, Crosscutting Concepts, and Science and Engineering Practices.
For our fifth and final unit you will apply what you have learned and develop a ready-to-deploy learning activity or assignment.
Complete the learning objective design you have been working towards over the last two units. Submit your design as a Wiki entry. Your submission should provide a complete examination of how your chosen objective aligns with each of the three dimensions of the Next Generation of Science Standards. Once you have uploaded your Wiki entry take a moment to review your colleagues’ work. You never know just how many great ideas we have until we put them all together!
