1. Analyse the data from the formative assessment and identify what problems is existing in the course.

2. Based on the information from the formative assessment, implement the appropriate strategies to adjust the current teaching.

1. Students don't take self-assessment seriously, so the information teachers get is inaccurate.

2. Students don't take peers-assessment seriously and think it is a waste of study time.

3. There are fewer challenges for students and no motivation to stimulate students.

4. The tasks assigned for students are harder, and students must take much efforts to accomplish.

5. Some students feel tasks easy, while others feel tasks difficult. The development of students is uneven.

6. Formative assessment has not been seen as valuable by students in a short period of time, and students feel that formative assessment has no effect on learning outcomes.

language aptitude is a multidimensional phenomenon, not binary or categorical, teachers do have some room for action!

1. Let the students who have a tiny gap between their language proficiency practice oral tasks together and attend peers-assessments.

2. Let the students who have a big gap between their language proficiency communicate the learning strategies in English or other common language.
