Maria, you've started a project focusing on an important topic. Please catch up with tasks of the past three weeks following the project schedule.

Maria, I've read your updated portfolio page in which you've documented your instructional analysis and design process. I've been very impressed by the quality of your work.

I've also read your unit 1, which looks in a good shape. A few suggestions:

1) To make the concept of PBL accessible and facilitate understanding, you may think about adding 1 or 2 specific examples (e.g. PBL in science, in social studies, etc, summarized, and provide online links) in the beginning of unit 1, with the following framework (components) used to analyze such examples.

2) When you ask the learners to view a video or read an article, it would help guide the reader's interest if you can briefly highlight what it is about and why it is useful.

Again, great work.

Professor - Thanks for a great class! I'm sorry that circumstances outside of class conspired against more sustained participation on my part. I hope to take another class from you when things settle down for me. - Maria

Maria, I really like your design project. I thought the videos were especially helpful in highlighting the effectiveness of project-based learning as a teaching method. You might think about giving the learner guiding questions to think about as they watch the videos and read the article to help focus their attention to the important aspects of the material.

Thanks, Laura. I will add that.
