Instructor comments on your instructional analysis and objectives -- Jz833665 (talk) 21:22, 26 March 2013 (EDT)

Hi Hyunju,

It is nice to see your catch-up. One important improvement you can make it to further refine your performance objectives defined for this whole mini-course. Your objectives should

1) align with the learning outcomes that you intend to cover.

Currently your objectives do not cover the following:

The history of translation in ELT (English Language Teaching) methodologies.
Advantage of learning translation for English language learners.
How can integrate translating method into language learning instruction?

2) be defined more specifically using performance-based terms.

I'm glad to see your mini-course coming into its full shape. In the next steps, you need to setup the course intro paragraph to highlight its focus, course level objectives, target learner. Your course objectives could use different performance verbs (e.g. describe, summarize, explain, instead of alway "identify"). You may add one or two examples in your unit 1 for translation as a teaching method. Your unit 3 particularly needs elaboration.
