Talk:Andrea Beukema
Hi Andrea,
Your wikipages are well structured and linked. Your topic on video/audio production is of value to educators who may use such tools. Please conduct and report your needs assessment and learning analysis in preparation of the next step to define course level performance-based objectives. You may look at your peers' portfolio pages presenting these analyses. --Instructor comment, 10/4/2014
Thank you! i have done a survey and am in the process of refining my topic and writing up the needs assessment.
Feedback on your needs assessment and objectives -- Jianwei Zhang (talk) 09:42, 8 October 2014 (EDT)
It's great that you've done a careful and helpful needs assessment. The result will inform your focus and goal well. Excellent work!
Your performance-based objectives can be further refined. For example, #4 and #5: in what way do you expect the learner to demonstrate such skills (e.g. by...). Also, your needs assessment revealed that teachers hope to learn how to engage students in meaning activities of video/audio production. You may include a objective focusing on this teaching/learning design aspect: understand meaningful learning activities enabled by video/audio creation.
- identify five components of good audio production
- identify five components of good video production
- analyze audio and video for production quality
- demonstrate how to create an online video
- demonstrate how to create an audio file
instructor comment on your task analysis and instructional curriculum map -- Jianwei Zhang (talk) 14:49, 2 November 2014 (EST)
Overall, your performance-based objectives are presented and sequenced appropriately, give a clear direction and structure for your mini-course. One refinement you may make is to include a clearer focus on "educational" production of video/audio, which has more specific purpose. Your course-level objective should reflect such a focus. Your unit 1 on planning may also include an analysis of the educational role that the video/audio intends to play.
Nice work!
