Melissa Stepanian


Melissa Stepanian graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. John's University majoring in History and Adolescent Education. At the present time, Ms. Stepanian is a Social Studies teacher at Bayside High School in Bayside, New York teaching Ninth Grade Global History and Geography, Tenth Grade Global History and Geography, and Arts and Humanities. Ms. Stepanian has received a grant from The Teacher's Network and worked to develop various lesson plans for "Creative Approaches" to the New York State Regents Exams. She has also co-authored a Regents Review Guide and Social Studies Independent Study Units. Her true passion lies in curriculum development, seeking to develop innovative methods to teach Social Studies to younger generations. In her free time, Ms. Stepanian enjoys advising the "Bayside High School Big Brother, Big Sister Club" and managing various in-school dramatic and musical productions.
