  • Identify various assistive technology aids to support reading comprehension.
  • Select a particular technology based on the student and/or a specific need.
  • Integrate the technology, as a supportive aid, to best assist either a single student or the entire class in developing comprehension skills.

  2. Integrate a discussion blog as an aid in comprehension with existing reading methods.
  3. Understand benefits for students and teachers.

Unit 2:Graphic Organizers

By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

  1. Indentify available graphic organizers available for use in comprehension.
  2. Use an organizer to assist students in constructing meaning.

Unit 3:Media Players and Tablets

Learning Objectives

By the end of this unit, you will be able to:

  1. Indentify various media players that are appropriate for student reading.
  2. Explore media player tools and applications that can be used as potential reading aids.
  3. Integrate media player in reading lesson as aid in comprehension.
