Hello all! My name is Lauren Steers. This is my first semester in the CDIT at Albany. I just graduated from SUNY Cortland this past December with a degree in Adolescent Education Mathematics. This past semester I student taught in New York City, and I lived in the Bronx. This was a great experience, and it was fun to live in NYC for a few months. I am currently living in Stone Ridge, NY (which is by Kingston). So, I will be completing the CDIT program fully online. In addition to taking online classes, I am currently substitute teaching at Ellenville Central School district. I will soon be job searching, and I hope to obtain a full time teaching position for next school year.

In my spare time, I enjoy being active by playing sports, running, working out, and going on hikes. I played club field hockey in college, and I hope to become a coach soon. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends.

I am excited to learn all about Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology!
