Hello, my name is David Shibley. I currently in the CDIT program at SUNY Albany. I graduated from SUNY Oneonta with degrees in Adolescent Education: Social Studies and History. During my stay at Oneonta, I was a Residential Advisor. This position helped me to be able to talk with students and taught me a lot of responsibilities that many teachers have in the classroom. I currently work in Gloversville Enlarged School District as a substitute teacher. I enrolled in the program because I believe that technology can be a great tool for creating engaging lesson plans that can reach all different types of learners. Last year, I introduced my students to Memrise when I did a long term position for Latin. The rest of the foreign language department has since tried to adopt the tool to help them out. Technology can be a great benefit to the students if used properly.
