Target objectives for Unit 4:

Upon completion of this unit, participants will:

1. Understand what project-based learning and performance tasks are and their purposes; and

2. create their performance tasks or projects for the unit, adding them to their curriculum map.

Activities:

These e-lecture and reflection activities will take place over the next two weeks. You should begin these assignments now and post by June 28, 2019.

Activity #1: Please read the article on performance tasks and complete the questions. These have been assigned to you on google classroom.

Activity #2: Project-Based Learning . Please watch this video on project-based learning and then post three interesting facts or ideas you learned and two or three questions you still have to the course page (join by going to Google Classroom and using class code: x0mvf2).

Activity #3: With the understanding of project-based learning and performance tasks, add assessments of these kinds to your curriculum guide grid.

Reflection Activity:

1. Considering the two activities that took place during this unit, identify ways in which your thoughts about integrated curriculum may have changed and some hesitations or questions you still have. What was easy for you during this process? What did not come so easily? Post your reflection journal to the course page (join by going to Google Classroom and using class code: x0mvf2).
