Rhythmic Solfege follows the same principles as melodic solfege. The difference is instead of being used for melody it is used for rhythm.

The syllables used are "Du De Du De", "Te Te Te Te Ta", or " Ta Di Ta Di Ta". Anyone of these three systems are viable as long as your are consistent with one system. for this mini-course I will use the "Ta Di" syllables. They are broken down as shown below:
