Let's Get Started

Start by Accessing the Program

Unfortunately this app is for Apple Users Only (iPhone or iPad): Go to the App Store, search QuickKey, and download.

Open the Program

Before you can use this app you will have to sign up with your email address and confirm your account.

After you do this you will be able to just sign in.

Let's Create a Class

The home menu has five options for you.

1. Click Classes & Students.

In the top right hand corner you'll see "+".

2. Click "+"

3. Name your class!

For this course I will use this class name > Class Name: Demo Class

  • You may also add a description if you'd like.

4. Click "Save" in the top right hand corner

Now you've created your first class! Feel free to create as many classes as you need for your teacher schedule.

Let's Create a Student ID

On the home screen

1. Again Select "Classes & Students"

In the top menu highlight students instead of classes

In the top right hand corner you'll see "+".

2. Click "+"

3. Type in the student's information

For this course I will use this student name > First: Demo Last: Student Student ID: (leave blank) Email:unknown@gmail.com External ID: 5555

  • Make sure to give your student their ID #

4. Add your student to the appropriate class

  • Click on the box in the top right hand corner with the writing utensil in it.
  • Click "Assign Classes" on the bottom menu.
  • Select the appropriate class, so there is a check-mark showing.

5. Click "Save"

You're going to have to click "save" twice here. Feel free to create all of the student IDs you need for your class.

Let's Create an Assessment

Click back to the home screen

1. Under "Recent Quiz", Click "Create a New Quiz"

2. Name your Quiz I will choose the name Demo Quiz

3. Pick the size of the assessment to fit your needs (5, 10, 15, or 30 questions)

  • Note! You don't need to ask exactly these amount of questions on your assessment. You can have blank questions leftover on your answer sheet.

For this course I will choose > 10

4. Select the Appropriate Question Answers

5. Click "Save"

6. In a middle menu you will see "Answer Key" highlighted. Highlight "Classes" instead.

7. Click "Assign Classes"

8. Click the Appropriate Class to Take the Quiz

9. Click "Save"

Let's Print Forms

Go to http://quickkeyapp.com/assets/QuickTicket.pdf

1. Use your Print Command

2. Choose your printer and the number of copies needed Remember you will only need half, as there are two printed on each page

3. Click "Print"

Let's Give the Assessment

1. Give out blank forms and quiz

2. Have students fill out their Student ID # and bubble in appropriately

3. Students can then bubble their answers.

  • A dark writing utensil should be used. Black pen or pencil preferably.

4. Once they are finished, they can scan for results!

Let's Scan

Make sure your quiz under "Recent Quiz" is the appropriate Quiz first.
1. Click "Scan" in green

2. Line up the edges of the form with the four corners on the scanning screen
3. It will automatically scan for you

Let's Analyze Results

On the home menu

1. Click "Results & Reports"

2. Select the existing quiz you want to analyze

3. "By Student" is already selected in the top menu

This allows you to see student's percentile scores.

4. Highlight "By Question"

This allows you to see the percentage of students that got each question right.

Let's Discuss

  • Click on the discussion tab at the top of this wiki page to share your successes with the app and your creative implementations of QuickKey in the classroom. Also if you are fortunate enough to purchase more features for the app, discuss that here as well.
