• To learn more about Schoolwide Positive Behavior Supports, visit https://www.pbis.org/school/swpbis-for-beginners.

• Visit the following website https://www.pbis.org/resource/804/behavior-support-plan-template. Locate the Behavior Support Plan Template towards the bottom of the page. This template provides instructors things such as an outline for identifying problematic behavior, strategies for achieving desired behavior, identifying goals, and who is responsible. You may change the template to fit your and your students needs.

• Visit https://www.classdojo.com/pbis/. This website allows educators to set their positive behaviors aligned with points. A point system can then be created to motivate students to achieve those behavioral goals. This website is free and easy to use!

• The following website will help you reflect upon your PBIS plan. Answer the three questions that the website highlights.

Do

Create a PBIS plan. Your plan should include the following:

• The behavior problem you will focus on;
• If it is a tier 1, 2 or 3 intervention;
• How you will establish the expectations;
• How you will provide positive support;
• How you will measure student(s) growth or decrease in positive behavior.

Look Forward

PBIS is a never-ending process and can always be changed and updated as the students grow and their behavior changes. A plan that may be implemented in the beginning of the school year, may change throughout the year.

It is important to ask both your co-workers and your students for suggestions and feedback on your interventions.
