Objective: Participants will be able to demonstrate how to launch virtual environment to complete assigned tasks.
Launching the virtual environment In this lesson, you will learn how to launch the Windows virtual environment where you will be practicing tasks in the upcoming lessons. A written step-by-step guide is provided below to help you achieve that task. A video is also embedded to provide an alternative guide to those who may find the textual guide challenging.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Double-click on the VirtualBox icon on your desktop to start the virtualization software. Wait for a about 30 seconds until the program completely starts.
  2. On the left pane in the program window. Right-click on the thumbnail labeled “Windows VM” and select Start. Wait for 10 seconds till another window pops up. You should see Windows 10 virtual environment boot the operating system. The image below is what you should see.
  3. After the computer has fully booted, you should see the logon screen as depicted in the image below. When you get to this point, you will have successfully completed this lesson and can move to the next lesson.
