Instructor Comments on your course -- Jz833665 02:20, 27 November 2009 (EST)

This course is well-sequenced. A few suggestions:

1) Add info about objectives and target learner to your course front page.

2) You may think about how each activity (e.g., what is the motivation) can be better introduced and "concluded" so that the learners can know its cognitive goals and reflect on what's learned.

3) I guess this course expects to help teachers understand and integrate SP learning in classrooms, not necessarily to use SP to "replace" the current classroom teaching. Am I right?

4) SP learning becomes more feasible with new tech support, which I notice that you will cover in a unit. This is great. You may mention resources such as those on learning.com that can be selectively used to provide extended SP learning opportunities. Another great site for higher grade levels (e.g., AP, college) is http://oli.web.cmu.edu/openlearning/index.php

hi,

I enjoyed trying your course. I have not heard of self-paced learning before. IT was interesting to go through these steps of personal assessment. SP is something that as music educators, we have to deal with often because we are having to differentiate instruction every day!
