Hi Chris,

I really like the mini-course topic about learning music education at a distance. Since you are still developing your course, I think there is a lot of potential to put together an interesting and informative mini-course for music educators.

As you move forward, have you thought about keeping your focus on the history, theory, types, etc. of music and distance education? Lesson 1 goes into the general concepts and ideas about distance education. I think that keeping an overarching theme of music education and integrating distance education throughout each lesson would be more interesting and useful for music educators. Lesson 1 is primarily about distance educational information. Is there information about a theory or model for learning music via distance education?

My understanding is that distance education could be learning music at other schools, via correspondence learning, or online learning. Would you consider adding music via distance education/online learning in your course?

Providing learning activities and strategies about learning at a distance would also be very helpful for educators. Providing resources that could be accessed would also be helpful. Lisa

What I like/What worked well:

* Intro: course title, very nice intro paragraphs, clear info about what to expect in course, nice picture, clear headings for each lesson, clear description of what will happen in each lesson, effective links

* Lesson 1: nice image, bold headings, information chunked, good resources (mix of website, pdf articles, and youtube videos), relevant meaningful reading/viewing/reflecting (Nice use of Padlet!!) activities, easy navigation. I appreciate that you sourced your image.

What you might consider:

* Lesson 1: providing links to each lesson on each lesson for easy user navigation.
