== How do I correctly implement Literature Circles in my Classroom? ==

How you structure you classroom is completely up to you as an educator. Yet, this type of curriculum requires a lot of space. You need to make sure that your students can be in groups. Within these groups, the students must be able to talk out loud and discuss openly with each other about the book they are all reading. Give each student the appropriate amount of time to read. If you want that to be within the classroom structure or not is up to you as the educator. Remember that each students is different so make sure you give them options. Have a variety of books to read for all students to gain the interests of many different students within the classroom. Make sure you understand the roles required for all the people in the group and relay that information again and again to your students so they understand what needs to be done.<br />
Each of the roles in the Literature Circle Curriculum plays a part for furthering reading comprehension and understanding. Without the roles the students would just read at different speeds and not for understanding. This structure allows the student to still have fun reading but teach them how to improve certain reading skills without them knowing they are improving those skills.<br />

Understand your students and understand their confidence in reading. By implementing this curriculum, you are showing them how they can grow through reading, and that it is not such a tedious mindless task.<br />

This section/lesson is about how you the learner can set up your curriculum. You have gained knowledge about what a Literature Circle is. You the learner have seen the results of what a Literature Circle can do. Now, you the learner can make this type of curriculum fit for you and your students and create a working Literature Circle environment in your own classroom using the following concepts found in this lesson.<br />
