My Topic and Purpose

My Mini-Course topic is focused on how do we help develop intrinsic motivation in students. My focus will be in a High School Mathematics classroom but the ideas mentioned will be applicable across all grade levels and disciplines. The purpose for choosing this topic is to help improve my own teaching ability while working to help my own students while also providing other teachers the tools the may need in their classroom. Learning Outcomes

This mini-course will address the need for developing intrinsic motivation in our students. This mini-course also addresses the use of a positive learning environment, genuine teacher-student relationships, and growth mindset.
