Unit 3: The Web-Quest

A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. These can be created using various programs, including a simple word processing document that includes links to websites.[1]

In this unit, participants will navigate and complete a pre-made web-quest and use it as a guide to create their own.

  • Use the discussion tab to interact with other participants taking the course to identify issues, things that work well and even peer assessments of projects.

Lesson 1: Take the Journey

  • While looking at this web-quest about Jazz music, Follow the directions for the assignments, do the work.

Think about the Jazz web-quest and identify the answers to the questions below.

  • How was the assignment set up?
  • Was it easy to follow?
  • Was the work approachable?
  • What was the purpose of the assignment?
