## Description

This course is organized into two units which each contain two lessons. You can find the unit and lesson objectives below. In working towards meeting each of these objectives, you will:

To get the most out of this course you must:

## Unit 2: How can I integrate metacognitive development in mathematics instruction and what technological tools can I use?

Unit 2 Objective:

Learners will identify and explain various strategies to develop metacognition in mathematics instruction as well as technological tools that can be utilized during the implementation of these strategies.

### Lesson 3: How can metacognitive development be integrated with mathematics instruction?

Lesson 3 Objective:

Learners will generate a list of strategies to develop metacognition in mathematics instruction and explain how and why those strategies will lead to improved outcomes of instruction for deeper understanding.

### Lesson 4: What technological tools can be used to integrate metacognitive development in mathematics instruction?

Lesson 4 Objective:

Learners will identify at least 2 different tools that can be utilized to develop metacognition in math instruction and justify the use of these tools in their specific instructional context in writing.
